South Portland will soon be the place to be for kids, thanks to a special event that will be held in mid-November.
Kids Con New England will soon be putting a smile on the faces of the families that come out, and it's been scheduled for one day only. It will be open for six hours, and its agenda offers lots of interactive experiences.
The stated goal of the gathering is to promote literacy and artistic expression, and there will be lots to see and do. Family friendly artists will be on hand to meet, and a variety of exhibitors have been invited to take part. Costumed characters will be posing for photos, and workshops, musical performances, magic shows, Jedi training and other interactive experiences are in the works. Everyone can enjoy the table top gaming and cosplay contests, and an art competition will take place. Anyone who needs a break can visit the calmer space, and a scavenger hunt will add even more excitement.

Kids Con New England is set to bring family friendly fun to South Portland's DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on November 15th. The doors will open at 10:00 am.
