An opportunity for South Portland green thumbs to score a new addition to their personal collection will soon take place, and it will attract specialty growers from across New England.
The Rare and Unusual Plant Sale will offer an opportunity to purchase species and cultivars not commonly seen in the trade. The curated nurseries setting up shop will provide high-quality specimens that tend to perform well when grown under regional conditions, and there will be a new addition to the agenda for this year.
At least five vendors will be setting up shop for the sale, selling native plants, trees, shrubs, and an assortment of other perennials. Ferns and hostas will offer options for the shade garden, and anyone interested in a fragrant plant can choose from the azaleas, rhododendrons, and other scented selections.
This year, along with the main sale day, anyone who would like to get first crack at the plants available may choose to attend the presale planned for the Friday evening. Stationery printers will be pleased to prepare tags, information sheets, order Forms, vendor contracts, and other documents that may require specialized Graphic Design Services at this sort of event.
