South Portland fundraiser to collect toys for kids

A car show has been confirmed for the South Portland area, and it will combine displays of vintage, classic, and other vehicles with collecting toys for kids in need.

The Portland Motor Club recently announced that its 14th annual Toys for Tots car show will be going ahead in September as planned, and it will be held rain or shine. It has a tradition of being the biggest function of its kind in Portland, and to help as many children as possible, a similar event will be taking place in New Gloucester.

All makes and models are welcome to participate in the activity, and everyone is asked to bring a generous donation of a new, unwrapped toy for the younger set, or a toiletry kit or other gift suitable for a teen. It is anticipated that there will be hundreds of vehicles to browse through, and anyone who would like to include an entry will be able to simply show up and join the line.

Poster printing companies will have lots of ways of kick starting a marketing campaign, no matter how large or small a function may be.

The Portland Motorclub has made arrangements to host its annual ”toy raiser” on September 5. It will be on offer at 275 Presumpscot Street, while the New Gloucester show is set to be held at Hodgmans Frozen Custard.
