South Portland households that have begun their spring cleaning are reminded that an event is on the way to the area that may help them turn their unwanted items into someone else's treasures.
An activity billed as being “Maine's Ultimate Yard Sale” will be opening the month of June, and coming around again in early September. It is anticipated that there will be hundreds of sellers and thousands of buyers on hand for the day, and it will take place rain or shine.
The market will offer lots of gently used items, and admission to the venue will be $10. Tables are still available for booking at the time of writing, and spaces are $50. Home-based businesses are also welcome to set up shop for $100. Retailers will be charged $599 and will be offered a premium location in the event.
This annual pop-up activity is being marketed throughout the area, and the proceeds from the entry fees will help to cover the cost for this. A printing services company can supply a wide assortment of promotional options that can be accommodated by most budgets.
Maine’s Ultimate Yard Sale will be kicking off another summer of fun on Saturday, June 8. It will make its return on Saturday, September 7, and both occasions will be held at the Cumberland fairgrounds.
