Library to host stuffed animal slumber party

South Portland Library becomes an entirely different place by night, and local kids will be able to get a sneak peek into what goes on thanks to an upcoming activity.

The library will be hosting a Stuffed Animal Sleepover, and dolls and other toys are also welcome. Pre-registration is required to participate, and the activity will continue on into the next day.

Families that take part will bring their child to the library on Friday afternoon, and their toy will stay behind once they leave. The next day, it will be time to pick them up, and there will also be a story reading and other fun. Everyone can attend this portion of the event even if they did not drop off a stuffed animal for the sleepover, and each child is asked to bring no more than one item.

Hosting an event like this offers a way to introduce children to a library, and a brochure printing company can prepare items that give kids more information about what it has to offer. These may be distributed at the end of the activity.

The South Portland Library will be holding this slumber party for toys on the evening of Friday, October 1, and the story time will take place the next day. Registration can be completed by contacting 207-767-7660 Extension 3.
