Flower show set to bring a taste of spring to South Portland

Despite the winter chill, it is not too early for South Portland gardeners to start prepping for the upcoming season. The Maine Flower Show is scheduled to welcome the public this spring, and it promises to be a warm and inviting event.

This annual expo-style occasion, which is the state’s largest yearly flower show, will be celebrating its fourth year. It will be held at 8 Thompson’s Point Road, and will include colorful demonstration gardens with both flowers and foliage, and various other displays.

The theme for this year's show is “A Cascade of Color”, and everything from flowers to gardening tools and hardware will be included in the function. Its agenda includes speaker presentations and other opportunities to learn, and food and drink will be available for purchase as well.

This annual horticultural celebration will open its doors on Thursday morning and it will continue to welcome the public until Sunday afternoon. Many of the participating vendors in events of this type hand out Business Cards and other marketing materials, and these make it simple for them to share their business’s contact details.

The 2020 Maine Flower Show will be bringing a Cascade of Color to Thompson’s Point road from March 26 until 29. Advance tickets and information about the expo can be found on its website.
