Towson Tigers ask for support

The Towson Tigers Women's Basketball team has five games scheduled in February and five in March.

Although scoring 58.6 points per game, the team has a 3-12 record so far this year and could use some support for their upcoming games.

A part of the Towson University's athletic department, the girls play in the university's SECU Arena as part of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).

This year the key players include guard India Johnston averaging 11.4 points per game and forward Anasia Staton who has contributed 6 rebounds and 12 points over the last few games. Other girls on the team are Zoey Robinson point guard, Emily Turner center, and Lila Brooks shooting guard.

Head coach Laura Harper oversees daily practices, film sessions, strength and conditioning sessions.

The team reaches out to the community with youth clinics, charity events and school visits.

The Tigers will be playing Hampton Lady Pirates on February 7th, Elon Phoenix on the 9th, Stony Brook Seawolves on the 16th, Northeastern Huskies on the 21st and UNC Wilmington Seahawks on the 23rd.

March will see them play the Hofstra Pride on March 2, Campbell Fighting Camels o the 7th, Delaware Blue Hens on the 14th, Drexel Dragons on the 21st and Northeastern Huskies on the 28th.

Fans that support their teams often go to local Print shops and get some flyer printing done in order to put Flyers up in their communities.

Most games begin at 6:00 pm.
