Spring festival returns to Towson

What started out as an art festival 56 years ago and has turned into one of Maryland's largest outdoor festivals, The Townson Town Spring Festival will be returning to Downtown Towson for two days in early May.

On Saturday, May 3rd, at the corner of Pennsylvania and Washington Avenues, The Information Stage will offer a Color guard presentation, Bag Pipers, and a singing of the National Anthem. The opening ceremonies will begin at noon.

Band lineup for the Patriot Plaza Stage on Saturday will be DJ Ray Der from noon to 2:00 pm and again form 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Kelly Bell from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. On Sunday, DJ Ray Der will again take the stage - this time from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and the Reagan Years will then perform from 2:30 pm to 5:030 pm.

About 100 vendors will be selling everything from jewelry, health food, and watches to art, handicrafts, and scents. Food vendors will be vending concessions, coconuts, frosty softies, burgers, beefalos, and catering services. Novelties will include Megalodon shark teeth, Native Inkas, airbrush tattoos, and Whisker biscuits.

Town visitor centers often have pictures taken at events like this. The pictures are taken to local Stationery printers to be made into Postcards.

The 2025 Towson Town Spring Festival will take place on May 3rd from 10 am to 8 pm and May 4th from 10 pm to 6 pm.
