The Baltimore Faerie Faire will be coming to Towson for three days in November.
Promising music, magic and mirth, the festivities will feature artists, artisans, authors and whimsical activities.
Faeriefolk Family Festival will be held each afternoon. Elves, goblins, faeries and ogres will be meeting guests, and children will receive a challenge or a present from the Faerie Queen or trade with the Ogre. Bands will include Frenchy and the Punk, Kindred Crow and Everybody Drum. A Faerie Marketplace will have vendors selling costumes and accessories.
Tobias Hurwitz will be giving a workshop about his super-fast Steampunk Metronome and his ability to play along with it.
He and his band Disco Inferno will be playing at the Disco Ball after the Fairy Scary Ball on Friday night.
An elegant Faerie ball will be held each night. The Seelie Faerie Ball will celebrate the last Seelie Court of the year the first night, and the Fairy Scary Ball welcoming the new Fairy Court will take place the second evening. Guests will be offering performances and gifts to the outgoing king and queen at the first ball and incoming royal pair at the second. Both balls will have "faerie foods", and tickets add-ons will include introductions to Fairy Court Royalty.
Stationery printers often use pictures of fairies and other whimsical characters on notecard sets.
The Baltimore Faerie Faire will take place November 14th, 15th and 16th at the Sheraton North Hotel, 903 Dulaney Valley Road.
