Towson leaders invited to workshop

Leaders and team members here in Towson are invited to attend a two-day Critical Conversations Workshop coming in mid-March.

The purpose of this workshop is to help leaders and teams develop thoughtful and compassionate ways to get results.

Attendees will learn frameworks and tools for strengthening communication skills through active listening and customizing their communication styles, listen to a discussion of feedback models, and how to deliver specific, timely and meaningful feedback.

Some key themes will be building compassionate feedback, expressing gratitude, reinforcing the why when communicating and identifying collaboration opportunities to discuss goal progress. Other topics will include actively soliciting input and feedback response, practicing and preparing challenging conversations, and inviting and demonstrating appropriate conversation vulnerability.

Many who attend events like this often have a few Business Cards tucked away in case the meet any prospective clients.

Organizations are asked to send one or two individuals per workshop. Although the fee of this program is usually $300, philanthropic donors of the Institute will offer the program for $50. Those organizations wishing to send more participants will need to get in touch with the Institute to make special arrangements.

The Critical Conversations Workshop will take place at the Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute, at the South Campus Pavilion at Towson University, 8000 York Road on March 18th and 19th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
