Gilchrist Center Howard County is hosting a food-tasting fundraiser this fall.
Taste of Howard County will feature samples from 25 local restaurants and beer and wine from an open bar. The restaurant lineup includes Hudson Coastal, Mike’s Gelato, Old Line Kitchen & Wine Bar and Tino’s Italian Bistro. Attendees can participate in the live auction and bid on more than 70 silent auction items. Baltimore news anchor Jamie Costello will be the emcee for the evening. There will also be programming designed to inspire the audience and let them learn more about Gilchrist’s work.
Tickets are $125 for general admission and $50 for Gilchrist employees. This year’s theme is “team up with Gilchrist,” so attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite team colors or gear. While the top-level sponsorships are sold out, there are still multiple sponsorship packages available. Businesses and individuals can also donate auction items.
Gilchrist is a nonprofit organization that offers hospice care and grief support for patients and families in Maryland. It has several locations, including its 10-bed Howard County care center, which provides 24/7 care for patients in Jessup and across the county. Nonprofits often use brochure printing services to provide details about their programs at their events.
The Taste of Howard County fundraiser will be on Sunday, October 11, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Turf Valley Resort.
