The Howard County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) is hosting an ugly sweater party this December.
The organizers hope to provide an opportunity for young professionals to connect with each other in a fun and festive environment. They are also working with Chamber member Bridgeway Community Church to run a Toy Drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring a toy to donate. All toys should be new and unwrapped. Toys will be distributed to kids in need through multiple organizations, including Cedarmere Elementary School, Talbott Springs Elementary School, Alpha Pregnancy Center, Howard County Detention Center, and The Prison Fellowship.
Attendees who donate a toy will be entered to win a prize. They are also encouraged to wear a tacky or ugly sweater to join the Ugly Sweater Contest. The prize for the winner of the contest will be tickets to all of YPN’s networking events in 2026.
Tickets are available on the Chamber’s website now. The cost is $30 for Chamber members and $40 for guests. The Howard County Chamber’s members include professionals and business owners from Jessup and other towns in the area. Groups often use flyer printing services to promote their events.
The Turn-Up Wednesday YPN Holiday Mixer will take place on Wednesday, December 10 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny in Columbia.
