Jessup chamber to launch nonprofit networking group

The Howard County Chamber of Commerce is starting a new monthly event series for nonprofit members next week.

The new series is intended to give nonprofit leaders a regular opportunity to connect and learn from each other. At the first meeting, the Chamber will introduce the idea and initial plans for the group. Attendees will be invited to share their thoughts on the nonprofit roundtables, including the topics they would like to see covered, the best format for meetings, and the resources nonprofit members should share with one another. Organizers often work with Print shops to create handouts to guide this type of brainstorming-based meeting.

Participants should register on the Chamber’s website. Any members who run or work for a nonprofit organization and are interested in connecting with other nonprofit professionals, sharing ideas, or shaping the new program from the beginning are encouraged to attend. The Howard County Chamber’s members include both non-profit and for-profit professionals from Jessup and other towns throughout the county.

The new Nonprofit Roundtables sessions are part of the Chamber’s plans for expansion in 2026. Other initiatives include a March Day of Service program that will also highlight nonprofit members and new affinity groups intended to help members lower costs.

The inaugural Howard County Chamber Nonprofit Roundtable meeting will take place on Thursday, January 29 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, at the Chamber’s office in Columbia.
