Girls on the Run Greater Chesapeake is having a bingo fundraiser this September.
The Music Bingo FUNdraiser will support Girls on the Run’s scholarship program. Music bingo uses song titles instead of numbers. The host will play short clips from the songs to test participants’ music knowledge along with their luck. Food and drinks will be available from food trucks. Doors open at 5:30 pm to allow guests time to buy food and settle in before bingo starts at 6:00 pm.
Tickets are available online for $30 per person. This covers all bingo games. Food and drinks can be purchased separately. All ages are welcome.
Groups often use printing services to prepare bingo cards for this type of event. Businesses interested in being sponsors can contact Girls on the Run to discuss options. Sponsorship options range from $100 to $1,000.
Girls on the Run offers structured running programs that are designed to teach life skills and promote physical activity. Each season leads up to a 5K race, and teams do a Community Impact Project together. The Greater Chesapeake chapter has groups in many local schools, including Jessup Elementary School. The scholarship program covers all or part of the participation fee for girls from low-income families.
The Music Bingo FUNdraiser will be on Friday, September 18, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at Homestead Gardens.
