Maryland agriculture group to host annual gathering

The Maryland Agriculture Council is hosting its 55th annual Taste of Maryland Agriculture conference in the Jessup area this winter.

The event is both a gathering of those in the agriculture field and an opportunity for Maryland farmers and other food producers to show off their work. Attendees can network with others in the industry and legislators working on agricultural issues. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening along with samples from Maryland-based beer, wine and spirit companies.

The Maryland Agriculture Council will award several education grants and induct the newest member of the Governor’s Agricultural Hall of Fame. These awards can support any type of project that promotes agriculture in Maryland. Past grant recipients have included elementary schools, universities and a podcast.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite now. The cost including fees is $140.56 per person. The price for last-minute tickets starting on 2nd February will increase to $161.09 per person. Purchasing a ticket will also sign the individual or their organization up as a member of the Agricultural Council. Those who signed up before 10th January will be listed in the event program as supporters. Organizations often work with Print shops to create these programs.

The 55th annual Taste of Maryland Agriculture Celebration will take place on 6th February at 6:30 pm at the Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland.
