Jessup students invited to career exploration event
Maryland CareerQuest is taking place in the Jessup area this April.
The event is designed to allow high school students, adult learners and military veterans to explore their career options. It will include speakers from different industries and opportunities to meet with companies and training providers to discuss their programs and hiring processes. The day will start with welcome and keynote speeches. Participants can then visit different career fairs split up by industry, including healthcare, construction, cosmetology, and information technology. Lunch will be served from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
CareerQuest is free for students, but they should sign up on the event website. It is open to participants from Howard, Baltimore, and Montgomery Counties, and students at any schools in the area. Teachers and administrators can also register their students as a group.
Career services organizations often use brochure printing services to share information about their training sessions and other programs.
Businesses interested in exhibiting at the career fair can sign up on the event website. The fee is $350, which includes a table with a drape and a listing in the digital program for the event. Sponsors and exhibitors will also have their logos featured on attendee badges and promotional materials.
The 2nd annual Maryland CareerQuest will take place on Wednesday, April 9 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland.
