Jessup chamber to host small business event
The Howard County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with County Executive Calvin Ball, the Central Maryland Chamber, and the Howard County Economic Development Authority to host a half-day Small Business Summit this spring.
The event will include talks, panels, and workshops designed to help small business owners succeed. Registration opens and breakfast will be served at 7:30 am. There will also be some time for networking before the formal program begins at 8:00 am. Conference attendees often exchange business cards during such networking events.
Speakers will cover topics like their personal success stories, how small business owners can take advantage of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and how to build and use a personal brand. There will also be sessions focused on small business finances, including funding opportunities and services for new business owners, as well as budgeting and financial planning skills. A full schedule will be available in the near future.
Tickets are available on the Chamber’s website for $40, which includes breakfast. Entrepreneurs and business owners at any stage of the process from Jessup and other towns in Howard County are welcome to attend. Businesses interested in sponsoring the Summit can also purchase packages on the registration page.
