Jessup area dinner to highlight local food producers

Tickets for A Taste of Arundel Grown are on sale now.

The event highlights food, wines, and beers that were grown or produced in Anne Arundel County, which covers parts of Jessup and other neighboring towns. Chef Monica Alvarado, the owner of Bread and Butter Kitchen, is creating the menu, which will feature an expansive selection of dishes. Drink options will include red and white wines, craft beers, and a new collaboration between multiple local breweries.

There will be live music throughout the evening. Amy Gowan, the President and CEO of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC), and Shelley Garrett, the AAEDC Agricultural Business Development Director, will give a short speech.

Tickets are expected to sell out, so those planning to attend should purchase them as soon as possible. The cost is $85 per person, which includes dinner and two drinks. Attendees can purchase more beer or wine if they wish. All attendees will also receive a gift bag with giveaway items, information about where to purchase items from the featured local producers, and coupons. Event sponsors often include promotional products in gift bags. Information about sponsorship opportunities is available on the AAEDC website.

A Taste of Arundel Grown will take place on Wednesday, August 6 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville.
