Zoo holds murder-mystery dinner party

Maryland Zoo will be holding Fatal Fauna: A Dinner Party to Die For in mid-September.

The three-hour event will begin with a masquerade ball where guests gather information by trading clues with each other and working together solve the case before the culprit gets away. This part of the evening will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

To begin the evening, an elegant buffet-style meal will feature drinks, dinner, and dessert. Glen Burnie guests need to wear ball gowns, evening wear, tuxedos, suits, and Venetian masks, and will get to experience a high-class masquerade ball. Stationery printers often use colorful masquerade ball photos for their elegant invitation cards.

A special keeper chat will introduce some of the zoo's animal ambassadors and guests will hear stories about the wildlife.

General admission will be $110 and will include an open bar, the buffet dinner, the show, and the keeper chat. All proceeds will go to supporting the zoo's conservation programs and animal care.

Fatal Fauna: A Dinner Party to Die For will take place Friday, September 13 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the zoo's Mansion House Porch. The Maryland Zoo is located at 1 Safari Place, Baltimore.

Guests may begin arriving at 5:45 pm, dinner will be available starting at 6:00 pm, and the show will begin at 7:00 pm.
