Glen Burnie taco enthusiasts are marking their Calendars for the Baltimore Taco Festival, which will be returning for a weekend in mid-October.
Over 75 kinds of tacos and other foods such as tamales, churros, and Mexican corn will be served by more the 30 of Baltimore’s leading eateries, food trucks, and restaurants. Other vendors will be selling goodies such as cakes, cotton candy, and desserts.
Many food vendors and restaurants that support events like this often have their Logo Design printed on the paper products as part of their advertising.
Along with food vendors, the event will offer a Churro Station, and a huge Nacho and Queso (cheese) Bar.
Ten venues will feature live bands, DJs, and authentic Mariachi entertainment. The Tequila Sampling Expo will feature 10 different varieties of the popular Mexican beverage. There will be a wide variety of eating contests, including a Chili Pepper Challenge. There will also be Best Dressed Contest.
New this year will be a Kids’ Zone with face painting, bounce houses, pinata smashing, and balloon twisting. The more daring attendees may try the PBR Mechanical Bull or experience the axe throwing area. Everyone can also enjoy Lucha Libre Wrestling and the Baggo Tournament.
Part of the festival proceeds will benefit the Trauma Survivors Foundation.
Baltimore Taco Festival will take place at the Power Plant Live!, 34 Market Place, Baltimore on October 16 and 17 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
