Moonrise Festival opens this week

The area’s sixth annual Moonrise Festival will be coming in a few days. The two-day event will be a celebration of electronic dance music. Over 65 performers and bands are on the line up. Organizers expect over 30,000 people to attend.

The Lunar Stage will feature gigantic sets and live performances by groups such as 21 Savage, Jai Wolf, LICK and Excision. DJs will be on the Stellar Stage. Some of these will include Nghtmre + Slander, and Alan Walker. The Celestial Garden will be the dance area with Justin Martin, Nora En Pure and Shiba San. Those who want a little more raging out and headbanging will be heading over to the Solar Tent where groups like 12th Planet, Ganja White Night and Boogie T b2b Subtronics will take the stage.

The festival will also house art installations and a large vendor village.

A Pre-Party is scheduled for August 9th at the Baltimore Soundstage, 124 Market Place. Doors open at 8:00 pm and the event will close around 2:00 am. Tickets range from $20 to $30.

Glen Burnie fans may wish to check out the event merchandise such as tees, kimonos, bracelets, hats and pins sporting more than one graphic design.

Moonrise Festival will take place August 10th and 11th from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm at Pimlico Race Course, 5201 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore.
