Kids Trek Too will be joining Justin Berk & The Maryland Trek Team in early August.
Children and their families are invited to hike with the Maryland Trek Team on day five of its seven-day hike across Maryland. This part of the team's 329-mile trek will cross the B&A Trail.
Kids will join the journey at the flagpole in the brick area behind Glen Burnie's Harundale Plaza and join in the two-mile out-and-back jaunt taking hikers to the back of Marley Statin Mall.
There they will meet and greet the team and some Anne Arundel County firemen, see a fire truck, and enjoy water activities. Bubba's Pizza will be handing out free eats and the IceQueen Snowball truck will be distributing frosty treats.
Afterwards, the team will head toward Annapolis, and the kids and their families will hike back to Harundale Plaza.
Proceeds from the trek will go to Just in Power Kids, a nonprofit supporting Maryland pediatric cancer patients. Just in Power Kids and Shine On T-Shirts sporting the organization's sun-shaped graphic design are available for purchase on the Just in Power Kids website.
General admission for Kids Trek Too will be $17.85 and may be purchased online at the event's website. The trek will begin at 7440 Ritchie Highway on Thursday, August 8 and will take place from 10:45 am to 12:30 pm.
