Hot dog fans here in Glen Burnie will be heading for Baltimore's 3rd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4.
Connoisseurs are invited to sign up for the event sponsored by the Baltimore Orioles and Hoffman's Hot Dogs. The winner of the contest will receive a check for $1,000. Whether in the contest or not, guests will be treated to free hotdogs from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. Champagne Supernova will be providing the live music from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, drink vendors will be selling beverages, and there will be giveaways. The Orioles' Street Team will be on hand for meet-and-greets.
The 2024 Hot Dog Eating contest will be at Federal Hill Cross Street Market, 1065 S. Charles Street. Admission will be free.
Afterwards, many may stay in Federal Hill or head over to the Baltimore Harbor 4th July Celebration. The Inner Harbor Amphitheater at Light and Pratt Streets will have entertainment including live music. At 7:00 pm, the U.S. Navy Band will begin a patriotic-themed program that will end with fireworks. These may also be viewed at Federal Hill, Fells Point, Canton, and Harbor East.
The USS Constellation will have a Deck Party with beer, wine, barbeque, and a premier view of the fireworks. Stationery printers often use fireworks for the front pictures in their summer notecard sets.
