October means it will soon be time for the Annual Halloween Masquerade. This event will be for the older set, and everyone is invited to wear costumes and participate in the costume contest for prizes. Dinner will be a ‘Ghouls Buffet’.
Kaleidoscope will be the evening’s entertainment. This 10-piece variety band (which has added the last two horns recently) will play a mix of R&B, country, chart, disco, and rock. Five of the band members will also provide the vocals – three of which will alternate leads. The addition of the mellow saxophone will give the evening a touch of haunting melodies. No doubt everyone will want to remember to bring their digital Business Cards to use during the times they are not out dancing.
The buffet will include a salad bar, shrimp, pulled pork, and fried chicken. Other entrees will include sausage, peppers and onions, and hot dogs. Sides will be baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and corn-on-the-cob. Desserts will have a Halloween theme and will feature a large display of traditional holiday candy.
