Joggers, health and fitness enthusiasts and anyone wanting to participate in a good cause can sign up for the Glen Burnie, MD: Virtual Esophageal Cancer Awareness Walk/Run coming at the end of June. This will be the Saifi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation‘s first virtual walk/run event.
Participants may swim, skateboard, roller-blade, bicycle, walk or run on any neighborhood bike path, trail, track, or river of their choice on either the Saturday or Sunday.
Tickets may be purchased online up until June 25. The $30 tickets include T-Shirts sporting the foundation’s graphic design. Tickets without the shirts cost $20.
Glen Burnie entrants are invited to join as individuals or form virtual teams. Participants are encouraged to make this a custom fundraising event.
Those wishing to donate and not participate in the run can contribute to the event’s GoFundMe Charity page by contributing to a team listed on the site or choose a $25, $50, $100, $250, or $500 amount to donate.
Virtual charity events such as this often have online stores where participants can purchase Promotional Products with the organizer’s Logo Design and mission statements on them.
The 2020 Virtual Esophageal Cancer Walk/Run will be held from Saturday, June 27 at 7:00 am through Sunday, June 28 at 3:00 pm EDT. Runners here in Glen Burnie are going to participate together online at 9:00 am.
