Maryland Business Connections will be holding its 5th Maryland’s Top Crab Cake Challenge in a few days.
Local caterers and restaurants will be vying for the best crab cake and cream of crab soup, and various Maryland crab soup honors. The event will be a fundraiser for the Delaware and Maryland chapters of the National Kidney Foundation.
Some of the restaurants and caterers that will be competing will be Schrader’s Outdoor, Murrydine Catering, Mick’s Gourmet Soups, Michael’s Catering, Food by Fire Catering, EJ’s Provision Co, Brew and Cues, and Acme Bar & Grill.
Guests will sample the crab dishes and vote for their favorites. Other food items will also be available, with beverage vendors also on site.
About 100 businesses and local retailers will have exhibits there advertising their goods and services. Sometimes exhibits such as these may include Promotional Products and coupons. Prizes will be given away every hour.
There will also be a silent auction with items such as entertainment and sports memorabilia. The evening will also feature a DJ, games, and an interactive photo booth.
Guests will want to remember to bring their updated Business Cards with them for the networking reception that precedes the announcement of the winners.
Maryland’s 5th Top Crab Cake Challenge will be Wednesday, September 12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Michael’s Eighth Avenue, 7220 Grayburn Drive. The networking reception will be from 8:00 to 10:00 pm.
