Baltimore will be having its only large-scale seafood festival, which is sure to tempt Glen Burnie foodies, next month.
This will be the third year for the Baltimore Seafood Fest. Local restaurants will be bringing out their best crab soup, lobster rolls, crab cakes, local oysters, shrimp salad, Maryland blue crabs, and drinks. Proceeds will go to benefit programs sponsored by Baltimore City Recreation and Parks.
Also on the agenda will be cooking demonstrations and live music including the Feel Free Band, Shawn Owen Band, and Scotch Bonnets. Kids can enjoy an area that will have face painting, games, and toys.
Four ticket options are still available for purchase, starting at $15 for the advance general admission ticket and going up to the $99 for the VIP. All tickets come with general admission, promotional Drinkware, and sway Bags. The $15 tickets do not include food or beverages. Ticket options differ on number of drinks, number of food tickets, and the addition or non-addition of male crabs. For example, along with the basic package, the VIP ticket includes admittance to the VIP tent, seating, unlimited drinks ,and six premium male crabs. Children aged 16 and under will get in free.
Seafood scoffers will want to eat lightly for a few days before September 17, and then on that day get to Canton Waterfront Park, 3001 Boston St. in Baltimore sometime between 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm.
