Glen Burnie plays bingo for baskets and purses

Two bingo-playing fundraising events are scheduled for November.

One will be hosted by Friends of the Caring Cupboard, and the other will be Designer Purse Bingo hosted by Ravens Nest 10 of AA County.

Friends of the Caring Cupboard will be raising funds for the Caring Cupboard by holding a bingo afternoon. Among the prizes will be gift baskets donated by local businesses and individuals. At 4:00 pm the drawing for the 50/50 raffle will take place. Tickets for the raffle will be $5 each or $20 for five. There will also be a special drawing from names of those donors who bring hygiene items and non-perishable food items.

Sometimes supporters of charity events such as this get a little flyer printing done so they can put up notices around their neighborhoods and at their workplaces.

The Caring Cupboard Bingo fundraiser will be Sunday, November 6 at Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Department, 7549 Solley Road. Doors will open at noon, and bingo will begin at 1:00 pm.

Admission for Designer Purse Bingo, a fundraiser for various Glen Burnie charities, will be $30 and will include 20 regular games plus chances to win door prizes. Additional game cost extra. Four special games will be available for purchase.

Guests bringing non-perishable food items will receive one additional game card per each item.

Design Purse Bingo will take place Saturday, November 12, beginning at 1:00 pm at Ferndale VFD Hall, 4 S Broadview Boulevard.
