Glen Burnie Improvement Association is presenting this year’s Glen Burnie Veterans Day Parade on Veterans Day itself.
The parade will organize on Quarterfield Road at Corkran Middle School. The parade will step off at 2:00 pm, and the route will go from Quarterfield Road and turn left at Crain Highway, then go east onto Post Road. Parade vehicles will then enter the Courthouse Parking Area and marchers will disband at the Carnival Grounds.
Some parade groups will be handing out candy, trinkets, advertising materials, and other Promotional Products to spectators along the parade route. Units will have the option to present a two-minute performance in front of the Reviewing Stand at 19 Crain Highway, South’s GBIA Building for awards.
Another event in town that will be honoring our military veterans on the same day will be the 13th annual Veterans Appreciation Car Show. Sponsored by the Street Survivors of Maryland, the show will feature all types of vehicles. No fewer than 250 dash plaques and special awards will be handed out.
The 12th Annual Veterans Appreciation Car Show will be at 7900 Crain Highway, 97 East Park Shopping Center on November 10. Doors open at 8:00 am and the event should wind down around 3:00 pm. Although spectators will get in free, car entries will have a $15 registration fee.
