The Maryland Zoo will be presenting its annual Zoo Bloom later this month. The event will be a celebration of the zoo’s 2019 season featuring Farm Day.
When Glen Burnie guests pay for admission, they will receive pieces of Zoo Bloom cake compliments of Charm City Cakes. Animals will also get special spring-themed treats during the day.
The activities will begin with a Sheep Shearing Demonstration at 11:15 am, and the demonstration will be given again at 12:00 and 12:45 pm. Guests can then stroll over to the Penguin Education Center for a puppet show. At noon, the Farmyard will present The Buzz About Bees Station. An hour later, the Farmyard will have an Enrichment Station.
For goat lovers, there will be a Goat Walk and Training Demonstration. At 2:00 pm, the farmyard pond will be the location where the Trumpeter Swan Keeper will chat about interactions with the swans.
Pig Bowling starts at 2:30 pm and the Donkey Hoof Cleaning Demonstration at 3:00 pm. A Donkey and Goat Enrichment program will also start at 3:00 pm.
The zoo encourages everyone to bring cameras for unique photos taken up close and personal with the animals. People who take pictures at zoo events such as this often take them to local Print shops for Copies for relatives.
