Here in Glen Burnie, a Strawberry Festival and an ice cream fundraiser have been planned for the first part of June.
Festivities at the Strawberry Festival will include children’s activities, food, raffles, music and a flea market.
Vendors will be on hand selling their goods and services and getting the chance to meet with locals who may wish to get in touch with them after the event. This is why many organizations, especially small businesses, often get special Business Cards printed beforehand at area Print shops.
Guests are asked to bring canned goods for NCEON (North County Emergency Outreach Network) and gently used or new linens for Hope for All. This organization provides clothing, furniture, and household items to local individuals and families in need.
This Strawberry Festival will take place Saturday, June 7 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at 7606 Quarterfield Road.
Another event supporting a charity will be Every Scoop Makes a Difference at Bruster's Real Ice Cream, located on 801 Aquahart Road. When customers mention the Family Resource Fund, Bruster's will donate a portion of the purchase to The Coordinating Center. Through its Family Resource Fund, the Center is able to provide financial assistance to adults and children with disabilities and medical needs.
