Glen Burnie train enthusiasts may be interested in attending the B&O Railroad Museum during the next few weeks.
The Holiday Festival of Trains will have holiday decorated model train layouts. The roundhouse will be turned into a winter village with crafts and activities for the children including writing wish lists to Santa, building snowman figurines, and coloring wooden train ornaments. Santa's sleigh rides will be located in museum's backyard.
Festival of Trains will run on selected days towards the end of November and all through December.
On selected days in November and December, Reindeer Railway Train will take passengers on a one-mile ride. The train and cars will be decked out in holiday finery and children will be given reindeer antlers.
On December 27 and 29, the Reindeer Railway will offer evening rides. After experiencing crafts, music, and model train layouts, guests will board the Reindeer Railway. Along the route they will be treated to spiced cider, cookies, carols, and reindeer antlers.
The Polar Express will be running on November 29 and special days during December. This two-hour event will include heated cars, sugar cookies, and hot chocolate, a sing-along, and live performances.
A Stuff the Train Toy Drive and Holiday Extravaganza will take place Wednesday, December 11 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Trains are often used in Stationery printers’ holiday card collections.
