Glen Burnie celebrates Easter with hunts and food

Easter here in Glen Burnie may be celebrated with at least two events coming in early April.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt put on by Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Department will include a vendor fair this year. Although the event will be free, registration is required to be sure there will be enough eggs for each age group.

Children from the ages one to three will start their hunt at 11:30 am; those from four to seven years old will begin at 12:30 pm; and those eight to twelve will begin at 1:30 pm.

Guests are invited to have lunch and free sno-balls inside the building. Some local businesses will be manning booths inside the fire hall. Businesses that sell their goods and services at events such as this often put their Logo Design on any paper product they pass on to the customer.

The Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the fire hall at 7549 Solley Road on Saturday, April 8 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

From 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, on Sunday, April 9, Bleue’s on the Water at 7696 Altoona Beach Road will be serving its Easter Buffet.

The whole family may enjoy meat and seafood, while kids can enjoy a Peter Rabbit’s Bunny Buffet of eats like pizza, chicken tenders, and burgers, then go on an egg hunt.
