October will be a busy time for Friends of the Rising Sun Inn. The organization will have three fundraising events.
Fall Family Day will be an afternoon of free fall activities, face painting, and trick-or-treating. Fall treats will be available for purchase, and the inn will have guided tours that will cost $5 per person.
The 3rd Annual Friends of the Rising Sun Inn Golf Tournament will be a fundraiser to help the foundation raise money to restore the inn’s Carriage House. Fees will include carts, breakfast, refreshments, and luncheon. Golfers at these events usually bring a few Business Cards and carry out a little networking.
A historic Candlelight Ghost Story Tour will take Glen Burnie guests on a tour through the candlelit inn with guides who will relate stories of over four centuries and many generations of families who lived in the inn. Stories will include first-hand ghost encounters and guests will be taken to areas not usually open to the public.
Proceeds from all three events will go to the Historic Rising Sun Inn 1090 Generals Highway, Crownsville.
Fall Family Day will be at the inn from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 14. The golf tournament will be on Wednesday, October 17 from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm at the Compass Pointe Golf Courses 9010 for Smallwood Road, Pasadena.
The Historic Candlelight Ghost Story Tour will be back at the inn on Saturday, October 20 from 6:00 until 10:00 pm.
