Glen Burnie area residents will soon have the chance to participate in a unique and exciting athletic challenge.
During the first weekend in May, Terrapin Adventures in nearby Savage will be hosting its third annual ‘Terrapin and the Hare 5K Mud Run’. Local Print companies may be seeing more business as the organizers of this event order Flyers to spread word about it to the community.
Proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Baltimore division of Playworks, a non-profit organization that sends coaches to mentor and play with low-income elementary school children during recess time. Participants in the race will travel through the woods, encountering muck and numerous other obstacles along the way. Before reaching the finish line, they will need to scale walls, untangle themselves from nets, jump through tires, among other pursuits.
The marathon itself will be a bit too intense for children, but kids will still be welcome at the event. They will be able to play games and engage in other activities in a separate area while their parents take part in the 5K. Complimentary food and beer will be available for participants after they have completed the race.
The Mud Run will begin at 8600 Foundry Street on Sunday, May 5. Attendees may choose a start time of either 9:00 am or 10:00 am. Check-in will take place at 8:00 am. Those who are interested may still register for $40. Participants are also encouraged to raise at least $25 to further benefit Playworks. Those seeking more information may call Terrapin Adventures at (301) 725-1313 or Playworks at (410) 779-3306.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Print
