Charity motorcycle ride coming this month

Gearheads in the area should get ready to ride, because the 1st Annual Ride for your Life is coming up very soon.

The event is a motorcycle ride set up to help raise funds and awareness of the Pregnancy Clinic. Those who cannot or do not wish to ride a motorcycle can sponsor someone else, stop by to visit with riders, or simply enjoy a breakfast.

The ride will start in Glen Burnie, and will conclude in Annapolis—a 90-mile ride through scenic Maryland. Breakfast will be provided by Chic-Filet. Families of riders may want to have banner printing to hoist at the ride’s end.

The Pregnancy Clinic is a medical nonprofit building with a professional volunteer staff offering free services related to childbirth and sex education. It also hosts a variety of classes. The clinic offers services to 1,200 women every year, most of whom cannot afford healthcare.

Registration is on the morning of the ride, at 8:30 am, at Arundel Christian Church in Glen Burnie, at 710 Aquahart Road, on Saturday May 9. The ride is scheduled to begin at 9:30 am. There is no end time for the ride, but it should finish sometime after noon at Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Road in Annapolis. After the riders arrive, the Port Public House will be providing a lunch for them.
