Car show fundraiser to roll into Glen Burnie

Glen Burnie residents are encouraged to attend an event that will raise funds for autism awareness and research early next month.

The city will be hosting the Autism Speaks ‘Car, Truck, and Bike Show’ for the second straight year. Flyer printing is likely in higher demand right now as the sponsors and organizers of the festivities work to spread the word about the big day.

Vehicles and motorcycles of all makes and models will be on display at the fundraiser. Some will be classics, while others will be from more recent years. The owners of the top 10 entries will receive prizes, and those who enter specialty cars, trucks, and bikes will also be eligible for awards.

The show will feature a silent auction, raffles, and booths from such vendors as 31 Bags and Origami Owl Living Lockets. Proceeds from these activities and sales venues will go toward the Autism Speaks organization.

Attendees will also be able to purchase food and enjoy live music from a DJ. Children will be welcome to take part in the event with their parents.

The Car, Truck, and Bike Show will be held on Sunday, June 2 at 7311 Ritchie Highway, running from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. Admission will be free, although a donation of $25 will be encouraged upon arrival. Individuals who would like to place a vehicle or motorcycle in the contest may still do so for a fee of the same amount.
