Eclectic festivals will be popping up in our Glen Burnie area during April.
Fells Point Main Street in Baltimore will be having its annual Privateer Festival Saturday April 18 from 10:30 am until 8:00 pm. The free event will offer reenactments, comedic skits, historic ships, interactive demonstrations and tours. A special kids’ area will have living mermaids, a parrot display, and crafts. There will also be maritime merchants, food, drink, and live music.
On April 25, the Tacos N Taps Festival Baltimore will take place at Harbor Point Central Plaza, 1310 Point Street, Baltimore. Guests will receive souvenir glasses sporting the event Logo Design that can be used for drinks such as craft beers, wine and ciders.
Over 15 Taco trucks, local Mexican restaurants, and taquerias will be on the premises vending more than 30 different kinds of tacos. Other Mexican dishes will also be available for purchase.
Live music will be courtesy of mariachi bands and boutiques will offer items such as jewelry, hot sauces, and brewing paraphernalia. Brave guests can enter the Hot Pepper Eating Contest. In between eating and drinking, attendees can enjoy games and other lawn activities.
Lastly, Charm City Bluegrass Festival 2020 will be from April 24 through April 25 at Druid Hill Park, 2600 Madison Avenue, Baltimore. Eight bands are in the line-up including Yonder Mountain String Band, The Lil Smokies and The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys. A late night party on Saturday at 8x10 will feature The Hackensaw Boys.
Naturally, all events are subject to current growing health concerns, so check nearer the time that they are going ahead.
