“Music of the 80s and 90s” will be presented by the city of Quincy at the Hancock-Adams Common next month.
“Music of the 80s and 90s” will be an afternoon of music from bands whose specialty is songs from the 1980s and 1990s. Attendees are encouraged to dress in the appeal of their bands from this era. There will be food trucks lining the common as well as lawn games for families and children. This event is free and open to the public.
Such events often call for poster printing to help promote them throughout a city and surrounding communities.
At 3:00 pm will be Cover Story Entertainment with music from the 1980s that will make people want to dance along. There will be a Center Stage Performing Arts Studio Presentation at 5:00 followed by the Beacon Street Band at 5:30 pm. This band features the music of the 1990s and was a hit at the Food Truck and Musicfest last year. At 7:00 pm, Michelle Brooks-Thompson will be performing a tribute to Whitney Houston.
In addition to the music, there will be classic cars from the 1980s and 1990s and models in vintage clothing from those decades. There will also be stilt walkers and jugglers.
Music of the 80s and 90s will take place on Saturday August 17 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
