Celebratory author series launched in Quincy
Elin Hilderbrand, New York Times bestselling author, will be speaking as part of the 400th anniversary of Qunicy.
Hilderbrand is known as “the queen of the beach reads” and has written 30 novels, most of which take place on the island of Nantucket. Nicoel Kidman stars in a limited series on Netflix which was adapted from Hilderbrand’s book, “A Perfect Couple.”
Lisa Donovan, a morning personality on Kiss 018, will moderate the event’s author discussion. There will also be a book signing, so attendees are being encouraged to bring one of their favorite books to be signed. Such special events are often promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
Mayor Thomas P. Koch said that this is an ideal way to launch the Quincy 400 Lecture Series with the hosting of a well-known and successful author. He added that the extraordinary career of Hilderbrand will ensure that this will be an evening of entertaining stories for those who are her fans and may be an inspiration for those looking to write.
