The 10th annual Lighthouse Auction held by the Newburyport Education Foundation is coming up.
There will be dozens of items at the auction, the proceeds of which will support the public schools of Newburyport – in particular various STEM initiatives.
Featured at the auction will be a hand-delivered Domino’s pizza and a half hour of photographs, and a talk with Joe Keery, co-star of ‘Stranger Things’ on Netflix and a member of the Class of 2009. Keery said this is his way of giving back to the Newburyport public schools that gave him the chance to star in his first theater productions and movies.
Another feature of the auction is a day at High Tail Acres, where the winner will learn about horses, grooming, and riding. A stay for up to five at Tops’l Farm for two nights has been donated. It will be a ‘glamping’ (glamorous camping) opportunity with various luxuries, including French press coffee and muffins.
The Newburyport Education Foundation is hoping to raise more than $100,000 from this auction, which is sponsored by the Institution for Savings.
The annual auction will be held tomorrow, November 11. The co-chairs of the event are Jane and John Nickodemus.
