A second location of Lowe’s Donuts is coming to Newburyport this fall.

The specialty bakery is known for its vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-friendly items. The new shop will be near The Cormorant restaurant.

Lowe’s Donuts was founded by Nicole Low in July 2023 in Haverhill. Its products focus on baked goods for those with dietary restrictions and food allergies. All baked goods contain no eggs, dairy, soy, wheat, tree nuts or peanuts, shellfish, preservatives, and artificial dyes.

Featured on its menu are close to 20 creative and classic flavors of doughnuts, ranging from Chocolate Frosted and Vanilla Glazed to Strawberry Oreo and Chocolate Chip Neapolitan. Also on the menu are a wide range of cupcakes, pies, brownies, and cookies, and bi-scones – a pastry that combines the crumbly texture of a scone with the flaky layers of a biscuit baked in the Southern style.

Beverage offerings will also be expanded. Both the Haverhill and Newburyport locations will have a new specialty drink and coffee menu. Choices will include seltzer, cider, cold brew, cocoa, tea, and coffee. Milk alternatives will be available for those who avoid dairy, including homemade pumpkin seed milk, rice milk, and certified gluten-free oat milk.
