Several spring and summer concerts will be hosted by the Maudslay Arts Center (MAC) at Maudsley State Park on Curson Mill Road in Newburyport.
There will be performances on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons featuring all genres of music, from jazz to classical, and from country to the Great American Songbook.
The season opener will be a Beatlejuice fundraiser concert. Among the other performers scheduled for the season will be The Don Campbell Band, Amanda Carr, the New Black Eagle Jazz Band, and Bobby Keyes. The Massachusetts Cultural Council and its local chapters in Newbury, West Newbury, Newburyport, Amesbury, and Salisbury will be sponsoring a special concert by the Hillyear Festival Orchestra. The Deep Blue C Orchestra, the Beantown Swing Orchestra, and the Alex Minisian Jazz Ensemble will be making their debuts at MAC this summer.
The MAC was founded in 1992 and is a popular entertainment and cultural destination. It is located on a corner of the Maudsley State Park and is best known for its summer concert series. It is also a popular venue for corporate functions, weddings, educational activities, and other events from mid-May through October. More information about using such spaces is often provided with flyer printing.
The season will open on Friday, July 8. All concerts will be held rain or shine. During inclement weather, concerts will take place inside in the MAC Concert Barn.
