The Hills Gallery at the Newburyport Art Association (NAA) will be featuring the art of Tina Rawson, a resident of the town.
The show, called “Creative Connections, Contemporary Art,” is a tribute to the people and places Rawson loves. Rawson alludes to the exhibit’s efforts to connect the dots between interests, aesthetics, compassion, and heritage, and is an expression of her experiences of life and love as seen through the eyes of a contemporary female artist. She added that connections with memories, landscapes, children, mythology, and friends, combined with her interests in the larger celestial picture, led her to create the paintings in the exhibit.
Such exhibits often turn to brochure printing to provide more details about an artist and their work.
Rawson is participant in North Shore Atelier and a member of the NAA. Over the past two years, she has collaborated with Amira Rahim of the Better Than Art School in her painting and training. A solo show at the Wenham Museum has taken place, and she has been highlighted in many art shows from groups around the state, as well as in the online exhibit Inner Power of the Art Queens.
There will be a reception from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 2 at the NAA on Water Street in Newburyport. The show will run from Wednesday, November 23 until Saturday, December 4.
