Several events are coming to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) center on Plum Island in Newburyport this month. Such events can benefit from flyer printing to make those in the community aware of their occurrence.
The first will be presented by the Photographic Society of Parker River NWR and will feature Arthur Vaughan, who will speak about photographing images up close, also known as macro photography. Vaughan will show attendees how they can use various homemade techniques to produce high-quality images.
Anyone who is interested in wildlife, nature, or photography in general is welcome to attend regardless of skill level. This event is free and will be on Sunday, February 16, beginning at 1:30 pm in the auditorium of the visitor center on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Later in the month, ‘Raptor Force’, will be showing at the Winter Wildlife Cinema in the visitor center auditorium. The movie will feature how hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons use their sharp talons and powerful beaks to precisely kill their prey. Original footage was used taken from cameras mounted on the backs of these masterful creatures that has also helped aeronautics engineers to more closely examine their body designs and unique abilities in creating new aircraft technology.
The movie is free and open to the public and will take place on Sunday, February 24 at 1:30 pm.
