Newburyport has a number of events on its itinerary over the next few weeks, beginning this weekend.
The Greek Ladies Aid Society of Newburyport will be hosting its fall fair this Saturday, November 19, beginning at 10:00 am at Nicholson Hall. There will be vendors selling crafts and other items. Lunch will be available serving Greek dishes, including gyros (a Greek meat dish) and spanakopita (a savory pastry).
Also tomorrow, starting 1:00 pm, Newburyport’s Henry Fox, known as the ‘chair-man’, will be presenting a workshop at the Fox Brothers Furniture Studio in Newburyport titled ‘Think Like a Chair’. Fox will cover his 30 years of knowledge on chair construction and design in an open discussion forum that will cover specific designs of chairs, how the maker influences the design of the chair, and other chair-related issues.
The busy schedule in the area continues into December, when the Newburyport Festival Baroque Orchestra will be presenting its Winter Baroque Concert at St. Paul’s Church. There will be music by Handel, Bach, and Vivaldi, all of which will be led by concertmaster Nurit Pacht. The concert will be on December 18 at 4:00 pm.
All these organizations might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to promote their events through the use of Flyers and mailers that can be distributed throughout the community.
