The Paula Estey Gallery in Newburyport will have a new exhibition, “Family Trees,” during the months of March and April.
The exhibition will feature over 10 artists with the theme being how nature and human beings relate physically and spiritually to each other and interconnect to support each other’s well-being.
Such special exhibits are often promoted throughout a community with banner printing.
There will be an opening program for the exhibit on Saturday February 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Featured will be Minister Joel Grossman leading a discussion on the Jewish Festival of Trees, a presentation by Crispin Miller, president of the Friends of Newburyport Trees, and Cynthia August, an artist and actress, reading from “The Hidden Life of Trees” by Peter Wohlleben.
There will also be a reception with the artists on Friday March 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where attendees will have the opportunity to admire the work of the artists, meet them, and discuss their work.
Other ongoing events in Newburyport include classes in Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army for people over the age of 50 and those with limitations on stretching and breathing and Sunday Morning Yoga on the Waterfront from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at Waterfront Park throughout the summer. Sarah Oleson, a local yoga instructor, leads a morning of vinyasa flow.
