A special festive concert will be held by the Belleville Congregational Church in Newburyport in a few days.
Featured will be both contemporary and traditional Christmas music presented by Blackstone Valley Bluegrass, and Rick Lang and Friends, featuring Karen Lincoln Wilber, Amy Gallatin, and Roger Williams.
Songs from the solo bluegrass Christmas project of Bob Dick, titled ‘Tidings of Comfort and Joy’ will be performed by the Blackstone Valley Bluegrass. Songs from ‘The Season of My Heart’ will be performed by Rick Lang and Friends with additional music from the most recent CD of Lang, named ‘That's What I Love About Christmas’.
Karen Lincoln Wilber will be featured as vocalist; she was formerly the lead vocalist for the New England bluegrass group Waystation. Upbeat and familiar songs will be performed by singer Amy Gallatin, accompanied by her partner Roger Williams, playing the guitar.
The cost of tickets to the concert is $10 for children 12 years old and younger, as well as for seniors, and $15 for adults. Tickets can only be purchased on the night of the concert.
The concert will be this Saturday, December 17, at 7:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:45 pm. The church might benefit from the assistance of a local Print company to promote this concert by creating Posters and other printed material that can be distributed throughout the community.
