The creative director and owner of The Newburyport Studio and Favor the Brave, Kelsy Stromski, is offering a lady in New England a scholarship to travel as part of their higher education.
The scholarship will include a $1,000 Airbnb gift card, roundtrip international airfare of up to $1,500 to any part of the world, and a gift card of $500 for additional expenses. It is open to any woman between the age of 18 and 22 who is a citizen of the United States, and is pursuing a degree in a field such as architecture or interior design, fashion or graphic design, illustration, videography, among other related fields. The applicant also needs to have a passport that will not expire within the next eight months and is passionate about travelling outside her comfort zone.
Stromski feels this scholarship is her way of giving back to the community. Poster printing is often used to announce such scholarships throughout a community.
Applicants need to create a postcard describing what is the force behind their desire to travel. These Postcards will be accepted between November 1 and December 1 with 20 finalists announced on December 20. These women will then need to submit a one-minute video explaining their reason for being selected that will be used to determine the recipient of the scholarship.
