The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) recently awarded the Gerrish Breast Care Center at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport with a full re-accreditation for three more years as a Certified Breast Center.
This accreditation is given by the NAPBC to those centers that voluntarily dedicate themselves to provide high-quality care in the sector and are evaluated and reviewed for their performance.
The NAPBC sets standards for treating women diagnosed with any form of breast condition or disease. When surveyed, a center needs to demonstrate its ability to comply with those standards, which include research, clinical management, community outreach, and improvement in the quality of care. Centers that become accredited by the NAPBC are committed to offering its patients the best possible treatment in their fight against breast disease.
Dr. Peter Hartmann, Medical Director for the Gerrish Breast Care Center, expressed his pride in the efforts of all those involved in reaching this accreditation. He stressed that the center is always trying to improve and grow its programs, so it is gratifying to know that these efforts have been recognized by the NAPBC.
Brochure printing can be used by such centers to promote such accreditations and the many other services which are offered. The Gerrish Breast Care Center, for example, provides a multidisciplinary team approach, a full range of state-of-the-art services, and information about new treatment options.
